York Centre Karate and Toronto Suiken Bugeikai celebrated by doing 100 kata Ananku on Friday May 17, 2019 from 8 pm till 9 pm.
It was 130 years from birth of O-Sensei Hohan Soken (May 25, 1889) and 12 years from passing of O-Sensei Nishihira Kosei (May 14, 2007).

As we promised we are publishing our warrior who were not present at our last published picture. Good job Kian at last week Shiai Karate Open.

Our team participated in Shiai Karate Open Tournament last week on Sunday March 17, 2019.
Here we will share a pictures with them (only one champion Kian was not present last training, we will put his picture later)
Have to be 2 training sessions in the row one after another. For example: Monday and Wednesday on the same week or Wednesday and Friday on the same week or Friday on one week and Monday on next week.

We are glad to announce that this year we will have second edition of Shiai Karate Open Tournament. That is a good platform for our students to try their skills in a very friendly environment.

Our student Max Atanelli won 3-rd place at OKF Selection Tournament #3.
He is keeping up with his path to enter in Ontario team for next Nationals. He will have to compete at next 2 Selections tournaments on February and March.

Our students Emily and David Winshtein participated in OKF Recreational tournament last Saturday Nov 24, 2018. They did very well at tournament:
Emily win Gold in Kumite Girls 8-9 years old Novice and Silver at Kata Girls 8-9 years old Novice.
David win Gold at Kumite Boys 8-9 years old Novice.

On Friday October 26, 2018 at 8.00 pm, Toronto Suiken Bugeikai participated once again this year at 100 Kata Challenge for Karate Day. We did kata Wansu So for 101 times.

As last 4 years before, Toronto Suiken Bugeikai will join 100 Kata Challenge for Karate Day. Event will take place on October 25th, but because our training schedule we will do that on Friday October 26th, 2018 at 8.00 pm.
