Tournament Team 2025
As new year is approaching, I want to acknowledge our last year Tournament Team – Tournament team 2025.
Members of that team won numerous medals at 4 tournaments of Amateur Karate Circuit (more than 65 in total).
6 become Grand Champions of that League, 3 absolute one (in both Kata and Kumite categories).
As that was our first year of dedicated team, that is remarkable result. We have only 12 students’ limit. All of them evolved and did very well. That was great effort from students and their families and remarkable results in the end.
I will name them again: David, Shreyansh, Mason, Czar, Akshara, Luke, Andrew, Akshriya, Fatima, Karizza, Eldar and Max H.
Besides our team members, I need to mention 2 other students: Max D (great first participation and medal at North York Open) and Sasha (great results at Ontario Para Games).
Next year we will extend that program, we will have 2 groups of maximum 8 students: one on Tuesday from 7.50 pm till 8.50 pm, another one on Thursday from 7.50 pm till 8.50 pm, both at Earl Bales CC location. All our students from Kinder, Kids and Youths groups can enroll in one of those 2 groups free of charge, just please make sure you understand the requirements for that tournament team program.
Requirements: Everyone who wants to compete from Kinder, Kids and Youths groups. Free of charge for students enrolled in Kinder, Kids and Youths programs. Must commit to most of these training sessions, missing one should be for exceptional reasons (sickness, family matters of high urgency, school trip etc.). Must agree to enroll in 4 tournaments for period of October 2025 – June 2026. Have minimal fighting equipment: gloves, mouth guard, shin-footpads, groin cup (for male), helmet, chest protector and belts (red and blue). Reduced number of spots available (maximum 8 athletes in each group).
I include some pictures from the season.
